Oyo Pensioners Demand N60,000 As Minimum Pension
The leadership of the Nigeria Union of Pensioners in Oyo state has demanded the sum of N60,0000`as minimum Pension for its members.
These demands and many more where made at the Commissioning of a Medical Facility in Ibadan dedicated mainly to cater for the wellbeing of senior citizens who have also called on government at all levels to provide them with qualitative healthcare in their golden years which they described as a fundamental human right.
The secretary of NUP comrade Olusegun Abatan implore government to continue to make pensioner friendly policies to care and protect the senior citizens who had served the state and nation in their productive years.
In his remarks, the Deputy Governor of Oyo State Bayo Lawal pledged government's commitment towards improving their welfare and always ensuring that they live a more prosperous and rewarding life.
He commended the Nigerian Union of Pensioners, for always setting the pace in her creative projects towards the welfare of her members.
