The police in Anambra says it has arrested two suspected cultists and armed robbery suspects in Umunaga village of Awka south local government area of the state.

The suspects 27-year-old Okechukwu and 22-years-old Chinedu according to the police spokesperson Tochukwu Ikenga,were arrested when operatives of the command stormed a black spot in Awka south.

The arrest was said to have been possible through intelligence gathering, which also led to the recovering of one pump action gun, four live cartridges, cutlasses, charms and substances suspected to be hard drugs.

Two female victims who were forcibly abused by the suspects were also rescued during the operation, and are said to have reunited with their family members after receiving treatment in the hospital.
